I realized that I always start off with the silliness of my life and tend to end with something heavier, so I'm gonna switch it up today and start with some more notes I found.
This time, it's just a couple quick things I jotted down during a message.
"We are His workmanship- He wants to express Himself through us."
Ok, so I had heard that we are His workmanship ever since I was little, but the idea that God was trying to express Himself through me was new. I just have to wonder, what in particular is He wanting to express through me? Does it vary from person to person? Is that why we are all so different? Or are we to display the same thing? Or are we all just variations of His personality? Is this talking about what we are meant to do with our lives, or is it as simple as: sometimes God just likes to laugh at silly little things like Katie and I do?
I think maybe a little of both...
"I am His artwork- what am I displaying?"
This is where I cringe a little again...
Here are some images of the same kind of animal, portrayed in different ways:
(You know how I love my cartoons.)
So really, my point here is that I hope that I am depicting the what God wants. I hope I'm not the ugly-personality version of the Aimee I should be.
Remember the box I told you I went through? Well, I found a bunch of sketches that I did while I was working the BMW drive-through car wash a couple years ago.
Here's a new drawing:
Also on a high note, I was able to go downtown to visit some dear friends: Margo, Aubrey, Kaaren, and Tatum with some dear friends: Ashley and Jessica. We had a blast wandering through the American Girl Doll store- it was my first time! It was magical! Then, we ate at this awesome restaurant that I'm already trying to coerce Jered into trying. Alas, I only took one picture of the night and it was not of any of us.
The sky just looked so crazy behind it, I couldn't pass it up. The picture really doesn't do it justice.
Finally, here is my ever-so-stylish husband today:
I know. I am one lucky lady. To make it even sweeter- it's time for us to get some dinner right now! And thanks to a Flinkman tradition, since it's Sunday, I get pizza! Yay for me! I hope you all have had a lovely weekend. Talk to you soon.
